FAQs FAQs

Do we have to live near the school to enrol our child?

No. Schools in NI no longer have 'catchment areas'. In recent years we have been enrolling children from as far away as Lisburn, Moira, Annahilt and Dromore. Increasing numbers of families drop their children off at Breakfast Club at 8.00am on the way to work, then pick them up from the Daycare Centre between 5pm and 6pm.

When can I register my child?

We can register your child's details at any time. If we have you on file we can then send out further details and enrolment application forms early in the year that your child is due to start primary school.

What about transfer after P7?

Our children transfer to a wide range of grammar schools, secondary schools and integrated colleges. We do not yet know how the transfer system will work after 2008, however we anticipate that our close relationship as a 'feeder' to many prestigious schools could be an advantage.

Do we need to register for Breakfast Club and Daycare?

Breakfast Club operates as a cash cafeteria from 8.00am each morning. No registration required. Children choose from a range of healthy options including toast, cereal, juice, yoghurt, fruit and pancakes.

You do need to register your child for our Daycare Centre. Daycare operates from 2.00pm-6.00pm during term-time and from 8.00am-6.00pm during all school holidays. See more details on the website under 'extended services', click here or email us at fpsbt10@yahoo.co.uk for further information.
